Amazon Alive - World Premiere on Hamburg Film Festival

We are done: after about three years of production the three-part series "Amazon Alive" by Christian Baumeister is finally finished! The film-teams travelled many thousand kilometres in boats, planes, helicopters and by foot to get to the remotest parts of Amazonia in order to capture its nature and wildlife in pictures of unrivalled beauty. On October 3rd, 2010, at 17:00h the first two parts of the series will be shown on the Hamburg Film Festival in a world premiere in Cinemaxx 8 (German version)! Additionally, both films will be shown on October 9th, 2010, at 17:00 in Cinemaxx 3. The Amazon Rainforest is the largest on earth. It still seems impenetrable, mysterious and dangerous. Yet, the old-fashioned view about Amazonia, created by the 19th century naturalists, gives way to a deep understanding about the largest rainforest on earth and its inhabitants. Amazonia is more than a mere conglomeration of myriads of species, bizarre creatures, and scary predators. The species are intermingled in complex interdependencies, and animals that should be enemies assume strange mutualistic relationships. In two 45-minute films you will learn about the life and survival strategies of different species. Literally tele-viewing! Tickets can be pursued under: 0049-40-50749487!
